Garden Fresh Restaurants [SAN DIEGO] named John W. Haywood CEO. Haywood has been a hospitality industry turnaround specialist for the past decade in various private equity advisory and restaurant interim CMO and CEO positions. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Concept Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for Carrols Corporation’s. Previous assignments include advising Chef Bobby Flay on the creation, interim CEO of Don Shula’s Steakhouses, Vice President of Food & Beverage for the Black Angus chain, and leading research and development for Metromedia Restaurant Group. He has served on the Board of Directors of Black Angus Steakhouses, and Lessing’s Hospitality,
Shari’s Management Corporation [BEAVERTON, Ore.] announced that Samuel Borgese will become President and Chief Executive Officer. Borgese’s background includes tenure as the Chief Executive Officer and President of LRI Holdings, Inc., and prior to that he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Logan’s Roadhouse, Inc. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Max Brenner International, Charlie Brown’s Corporation, Carrows Restaurants Inc. and Coco’s Bakery Restaurants Inc. Borgese also sits on the board of directors of El Pollo Loco.
H-D Advanced Manufacturing Company (HDAM)[HOUSTON] has promoted Michael Vincent to President & CEO. Vincent previously served as President of HDAM’s Engineered Solutions Group. Vincent has an extensive leadership background in manufacturing. Prior to joining HDAM, he was General Manager of Precision Castparts’ Energy Group. His other leadership roles include serving as President of Trump Equipment, Chief Financial Officer of Etatech and Director of Energy Products at Wyman-Gordon Forgings, among others.
Hispanicize Media Group [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Joe Uva as Chairman & CEO. Manny Ruiz will remain with HMG as Founder, member of the board of directors and a majority shareholder. Uva’s career has included stints at NBCUniversal as Chairman of Hispanic Enterprises & Content, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Univision Communications and President and Chief Executive Officer of OMD Worldwide. Uva serves as Chairman of reVolver Studios LLC and is a past member of the boards of directors of TiVo Corporation and Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc.
Fairmont Supply [WASHINGTON] has appointed Paul Fichiera as CEO. Fichiera has served in executive leadership positions with HD Supply, GE Supply and most recently at FleetPride. At FleetPride, Fichiera served as a Vice President. Fichiera started his career as a consulting manager with Accenture.
Webroot [BROOMFIELD, Colo.] has named Mike Potts as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board, effective September 25, 2017. Potts succeeds Dick Williams, who will retire as Webroot’s CEO and continue as a member of the company’s Board. He most recently served as an integration executive in the security business group at Cisco. He also served as president and CEO of Lancope. Prior to Lancope, he served as president and CEO of AirDefense. Other prior roles include CEO of ClickFox, president of Jacada, and sales and marketing roles at MSA.
Liveops Inc. [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced that it has named Greg Hanover as the company’s new chief executive officer. Prior to this appointment, Hanover served as the chief operating officer for Liveops. Prior to Liveops, he held contact center leadership roles at the West Corporation and InPulse Response Group.
Helpshift [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Linda Crawford as Chief Executive Officer. Crawford succeeds founder and current CEO Abinash Tripathy who will become Helpshift’s Chief Strategy Officer. In addition to serving in several executive positions at Salesforce, Crawford was a member of the board of directors at Demandware and held executive management positions at Siebel Systems.
Destination Maternity [MOORESTOWN, N.J.] (NASDAQ: DEST) announced the appointment of Allen Weinstein as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Anthony M. Romano will step down from his role as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. Interim CEO Allen Weinstein has served as a director of the Destination Maternity Board.
Evercore [NEW YORK] (NYSE: EVR) announced that Michael J. Paliotta has agreed to join Evercore ISI as CEO of Evercore’s equities business. Paliotta was most recently Head of Global Markets Equities at Credit Suisse, having served in leadership roles in the equities business there for almost 18 years.
Himle Rapp & Company, Inc. [MINNEAPOLIS] announced that John Himle, founder and CEO of the company, has sold his ownership interest in the firm to Todd Rapp, president and current shareholder. Rapp will be the sole owner and CEO of the re-branded firm, Rapp Strategies, Inc.
The Hilb Group, LLC [RICHMOND, Va.] announced the appointment of Richard G. Spiro, former EVP and Chief Financial Officer of The Chubb Corporation as Chief Executive Officer. Spiro replaces Robert J. Hilb, who has left the Company to pursue other interests. Before joining Chubb, Spiro was a Managing Director in the financial institutions investment banking group at Citigroup Global Markets Inc. where he worked from 1999 to 2008. He held a variety of positions in Citigroup’s financial institutions group, including Head of North America and Head of Insurance Investment Banking. Spiro began his investment banking career at The First Boston Corporation where he was a Managing Director in the financial institutions group and he also served as a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Insurance Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers.
Towne Park [ANNAPOLIS, Md.] announced Andrew Kerin as its Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board. Prior to joining Towne Park, Kerin served as CEO of Brightview. Previously, Kerin served as Group President, Aramark Global Food, Hospitality and Facility Services. Prior to joining Aramark, Kerin served as a Vice President with Ogden Facility Services.
QuickPivot [BOSTON, MA] announced Bob Boehnlein as the company’s new CEO. He succeeds Ken Marshall, who will remain on the company’s Board of Directors. Boehnlein has served on QuickPivot’s Board of Directors since November 2016. Most recently, he was the CEO founder of Perscio. Prior to that, he was the President for Analytical Applications at Teradata and senior executive with Aprimo. Boehnlein previously was a management consultant at Ernst & Young LLP.
REVOLT MEDIA AND TV [NEW YORK] announced that Roma Khanna will be joining REVOLT MEDIA AND TV as its new CEO. She was the former President of MGM Studios. Prior to MGM, Khanna served as the President of NBC Universal’s International Networks and Digital Initiatives. She started her career as a pioneer of digital content and production for web and mobile platforms and in music.
Enphase Energy, Inc. [PETALUMA, Calif.] (NASDAQ: ENPH) has appointed Badri Kothandaraman as President, Chief Executive Officer and member of its Board of Directors. Kothandaraman succeeds Paul Nahi, who resigned as President and CEO and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Kothandaraman also occupied the position of chief operating officer at Enphase in April 2017. He started his career with Cypress Semiconductor in 1995 before becoming vice president of the Asynchronous SRAM Business in 2008. Kothandaraman was promoted to executive vice president of Cypress’s Data Communications Division in November 2011. He also served as the executive director of Cypress Semiconductor Technology India Private Limited from 2012 to 2016.
GNC Holdings, Inc. [PITTSBURGH] (NYSE: GNC) has appointed Ken Martindale as Chief Executive Officer. Martindale succeeds interim CEO Bob Moran. Martindale most recently served as CEO of Rite Aid Stores and President of Rite Aid Corporation. Martindale joined Rite Aid Corporation in December 2008 as Senior Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Marketing and Logistics and was named Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2010. In June 2013, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer and took on the additional role as CEO of Rite Aid Stores in August 2015. Prior to joining Rite Aid, he was Co-President, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer for Pathmark Stores, Inc.
Finisar Corporation [SUNNYVALE, Calif.] (NASDAQ: FNSR) announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jerry Rawls has informed the board of directors that he intends to retire as Chief Executive Officer of the Company by the end of calendar year 2018.
Rite Aid [CAMP HILL, Pa.] (NYSE: RAD) has announced that President of Rite Aid Corporation and CEO of Rite Aid stores Ken Martindale, will leave Rite Aid, in order to assume a leadership position at another company.
Veracity Solutions [SALT LAKE CITY] announced the appointment of Marva Sadler as President and CEO. Galen Murdock, Veracity’s founder and previous CEO, will continue his role as Chairman of the Board. Sadler has been Veracity’s Chief Financial Officer since October 2012. In January of 2017 she also assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Sadler brings a wealth of prior experience to Veracity, where she has held C-level executive and president roles at a number of fast-growing companies, such as Bain & Company, Marakon Associates and Franklin Covey.
AirSage [ATLANTA] announced that Michael Cascone will serve as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining the company, Cascone was President and Chief Operating Officer of Forbes Travel Guide. In addition to his experience at Forbes, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer of Discovery Communications’ digital media business.
Solace [OTTAWA, Ontario] has announced that Leslie Rechan, former President and CEO at Halogen Software, will join the leadership team as President and Chief Executive Officer. Rechan has also been appointed a Board Director. Rechan currently serves as a director at PROS Holdings, Inc. and previously served as President and CEO at Halogen Software from July 2015 to May 2017. He held various positions at IBM, most recently as General Manager of Business Analytics for IBM Software Group. He has also held numerous executive leadership positions including COO at Cognos and Onyx Software; and SVP at Oracle, Cadence and Siebel.
Adams Resources & Energy, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NYSE: AE) announced that Thomas S. Smith has informed the Company of his intent to retire as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company September 30, 2017.
Bionik Laboratories Corp. [TORONTO and BOSTON] (OTCQB: BNKL) has appointed Eric Dusseux, a director of the Company since July 2017, as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Bionik, Dusseux was President of Europe and a director for Auregen BioTherapeutics SA. From 2012 through 2016, Dusseux served as an Executive Committee Member in the Corporate Strategy Department of Sanofi Pasteur. Before joining Sanofi Pasteur, Dusseux served as Vice-President, MAGE-A3 Medicines Development Leader, within the Immunotherapeutics Business Unit at GSK Biologicals, a division of GlaxoSmithKline.
Sealed Air Corporation [CHARLOTTE, N.C.] (NYSE: SEE) announced that Jerome A. Peribere, Chief Executive Officer and President, has advised the Company of his intent to retire at the end of December 2017.
Surgery Partners, Inc. [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] (NASDAQ: SGRY) announced the appointment of Clifford Adlerz as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Adlerz succeeds Michael Doyle, who is stepping down from his role. Adlerz brings over 20 years of operational and executional experience, most recently serving as President of Symbion Healthcare. In addition, Adlerz served as Division Vice President of HCA, as well as Regional Vice President of Midsouth HealthTrust. Adlerz previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Ambulatory Surgery Center Association and was part of the leadership group for ASC Quality Collaboration.
Vividion Therapeutics [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Diego Miralles as Chief Executive Officer. Miralles most recently served as President of Adaptive Therapeutics. Prior to that, Miralles served as the Global Head for Johnson & Johnson Innovation. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Miralles held research and development positions at Trimeris and Triangle Pharmaceuticals and was an Assistant Professor at Duke University Medical Center, serving as a scientist and an Infectious Disease physician. He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California San Diego.
ABcann Global Corporation [NAPANEE, Ontario] (TSX-V: ABCN) announced the appointment of Barry Fishman as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective October 1, 2017. Fishman has almost 20 years of experience as a business leader, most recently as CEO of Merus Labs. Fishman previously served as CEO of both Teva Canada and Taro Canada, and is a past Chair of the Canadian Generic Manufacturers Association. He began his pharmaceutical career at Eli Lilly, where he advanced through several cross-functional leadership roles, including Vice President of Marketing.
ReedGroup [WESTMINSTER, Colo.] announced that Scott Larsen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company. Larsen is replacing David Roberts, who recently resigned from ReedGroup. Larsen previously served as Vice President, Group Claims for The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, ReedGroup’s parent company, and, prior to that, as Vice President, Group Disability Operations and Vice President, Operations, for Cigna Group Insurance.
Kloeckner Metals Corporation [ROSWELL, Ga.] announced the appointment of John Ganem as Chief Executive Officer. Ganem will officially assume his new position on January 1, 2018. Ganem succeeds Bill Partalis. Ganem transitions to CEO from the position of Executive Vice President, Corporate Purchasing. Ganem held the same position with Macsteel Service Centers USA. He started his career at LTV Steel in 1991 as an automotive account manager before joining Macsteel International Corporation as Vice President, Flat Products Trading in 1996. Ganem has served on the Kloeckner Metals Corporation Board of Directors since 2014.
Oxeia Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] announced the appointment of Michael Wyand as Chief Executive Officer. Wyand will also join Oxeia’s Board of Directors. Wyand was previously President & COO of Epirus Biopharmaceuticals after serving as CTO from 2012 to 2016. Prior to Epirus, Wyand was Head of R&D at Percivia; SVP of Development at BioAssets Development; and SVP R&D at Therion Biologics. Wyand started his career at Genzyme Transgenics where he was President and CSO of Mason Laboratories.
Hub International Limited [CHICAGO] announced that it named Marc Cohen, currently President of HUB, as President and Chief Executive Officer of HUB, effective January 1, 2018. He will also be a member of the Board of Directors.
Russell Investments [SEATTLE] announced that Michelle Seitz has been named chief executive officer and a director on the firm’s board. She will become chairman of the board effective January 1, 2018. She succeeds Len Brennan who will serve as chairman of Russell Investments through the end of 2017. Seitz joins Russell Investments following 16 years leading William Blair Investment Management (WBIM) and serving on the executive committee of William Blair. Prior to assuming leadership of William Blair Investment Management in 2001, Seitz led the firm’s private wealth management businesses. Her previous experience also includes senior portfolio management roles with WBIM, Concord Investment Company, and Nationsbank.
Acasta Enterprises Inc [TORONTO] (TSX: AEF) announced that its aviation operating company, Stellwagen Group, announced the appointment of Scott Corman to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Stellwagen Capital Limited. Prior to joining the Group as part of the ECN Capital transaction, Corman served as an Executive Managing Director leading the firm’s expansion into structured finance services in both the rail and aircraft markets. He previously spent 13 years as Head of the Transportation Asset Finance team at Credit Suisse AG in New York.
