Surna Inc. [BOULDER, Colorado] (OTCQB: SRNA) has appointed Chris Bechtel as the Company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Bechtel succeeds and replaces former CEO and President Trent Doucet. Previously, Bechtel had been the principal of Bechtel Consulting, LLC. In September 2014, Bechtel joined the advisory board of Supreme Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and in November 2014, he was appointed as an independent director and the chairman of Supreme. Prior to Supreme, Bechtel served as a director of Ebbu, LLC. In 1983, Bechtel co-founded Omni Laboratories, Inc., where he served as president.
Pandora [OAKLAND, Calif.] (NYSE: P) announced that Roger Lynch will join the company as CEO and president, and a member of its board of directors, effective September 18, 2017. Lynch is the founding CEO of Sling TV. Prior to Sling TV, Lynch served as executive vice president, Advanced Technologies, for DISH Network and EchoStar Corporations. Lynch also served as chairman and CEO of Video Networks International Ltd. Prior to VNIL, Lynch was president and CEO of Chello Broadband in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Prior to that, Lynch was a technology investment banker with Morgan Stanley in New York, Silicon Valley, and London. Lynch began his career as a member of the physics technical staff at Hughes Aircraft Company.
Grand Transformers (GTI) [GRAND HAVEN, Mich.] announced that it has named Stephen A. Paul as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Grand Transformers, Steve Paul was the Chief Operating Officer at Jefferson Electric in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During his career, Paul has held executive level positions in engineering, or sales, at Generac Power Systems, Hammond Power Solutions, and Siemens Corporation.
BFS Capital Inc. [CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.] announced that it has appointed Michael Marrache as Chief Executive Officer to succeed outgoing CEO and co-founder Marc Glazer. Marrache previously served for more than three years as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He also will join the company’s Board of Directors.
DCA Investment Holding LLC [SARASOTA, Fla. & NEW YORK] announced that it has appointed Jerome (“Jerry”) Rhodes as its new Chief Executive Officer. Rhodes succeeds Mitch Olan, who will become Chairman of the Company. Prior to joining DCA, Rhodes spent eight and a half years with CRC Health Group, most recently as CEO. Prior to that, he was CEO of Comprehensive Addiction Programs for more than 10 years.
G2 Insurance Services [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Mark Ruggles has joined as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mark succeeds G2’s co-founder and former CEO, Larry Colton, who retired earlier this year. Prior to joining G2 Insurance Services, Mark was Area President at BB&T Insurance Services overseeing the Pleasanton and San Francisco offices. Prior to joining BB&T, Mark was President of Venbrook Insurance Services and Senior Vice President at Brown & Brown. He began his career at The Sullivan Group, eventually becoming CFO.
WolfePak Software LLC [ABILENE, Texas] announced that founder and CEO Charlie Wolfe is stepping down as the CEO of the company. In the interim, James Colony has been named the acting leader for WolfePak.
Northwest Federal Credit Union [HERNDON, Va.] announced that they have selected Jeff Bentley to fill the position of President and CEO. Bentley began his career at Northwest Federal in 2014 as the Senior Vice President of Lending/Chief Lending Officer.
Ravensburger AG [SEATTLE] announced that Filip Francke will join the company’s executive management team as CEO. Francke was previously the GM of Helly Hansen US and South America. Prior to Helly Hansen, Francke managed large-scale businesses and teams at Electrolux Home Products Corp. and The SAS Group/Scandinavian Airlines.
MFA Financial, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: MFA) announced that it has appointed Craig L. Knutson as Chief Executive Officer and a director of MFA to fill the vacancy created by the passing of William S. Gorin earlier this month. Knutson had served as MFA’s Co-Chief Executive Officer since late July 2017. Knutson, who has also been President and Chief Operating Officer of MFA since January 2014, will continue in his role as President. Knutson joined MFA in 2008 as an executive vice president and served in that capacity until the end of 2013.
The Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) [GRAND JUNCTION, CO] announced Kelly Hoover Thompson joined the organization as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Hoover Thompson was previously the deputy secretary at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She also co-founded and led the Commonwealth’s Privacy and Security Practice Group. Prior to her work on behalf of the Commonwealth, Hoover Thompson was a senior advocate of policy and regulatory matters for The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania.
United Community Banks, Inc. [BLAIRSVILLE, Ga.] (NASDAQ: UCBI) announced that Lynn Harton has been named chief executive officer of United Community Bank. Harton will continue to serve as president of UCBI and the Bank, as well as a member of their respective boards. Prior to joining United in 2012, Harton was the executive vice president for commercial banking for TD Bank. Prior to TD Bank, Harton was chief executive officer at The South Financial Group. He served as the chief credit officer for both Regions Financial Corporation and Union Planters Corporation and spent the first twenty years of his career at BB&T in several senior executive positions.
The Flinn Foundation [PHOENIX] has chosen Tammy McLeod, currently the vice president of energy resource management at Arizona Public Service (APS), to succeed retiring President and CEO Jack B. Jewett. McLeod will begin her new position in October. Over nearly 23 years at Arizona’s largest public utility, McLeod has held several positions with rapidly increasing responsibility. McLeod serves on the boards of directors for organizations such as the Arizona Community Foundation; the Desert Botanical Garden (vice president); Expect More Arizona (chair); Greater Phoenix Economic Council (vice chair); and in an advisory capacity at the Kyl Center for Water Policy at the Morrison Institute at Arizona State University. Earlier in her years at APS, she served as the company’s first chief customer officer.
Century 21 Real Estate LLC [MADISON, N.J.] announced that Nick Bailey has been appointed president and chief executive officer. Bailey has over 20 years of real estate industry experience as a leader in franchising, brokerage, management, and technology, and he is also a licensed broker. After 11 years at RE/MAX world headquarters, Bailey joined Zillow in 2012 where he served as vice president, broker relations.
EHE [NEW YORK] announced that it has appointed David Levy as its Chief Executive Officer. Shaun Francis, the former CEO will continue to serve as Chairman of the EHE Board. Levy started his career as a practicing family physician, was the founder and CEO of Franklin Health, Inc., led the global healthcare practice at PwC, and most recently served as CEO of AposTherapy. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Welldoc, Inc., AposTherapy, Cedar Gate Technology, and SulAmerica.
Serenova [AUSTIN, TEXAS] announced the appointment of Tom Schollmeyer as Chief Executive Officer. Schollmeyer previously served as the VP and GM of Customer Engagement, UC Applications and Cloud with Avaya. Previously, Schollmeyer led Contact Center Operations for OneSource, and as VP of Telecom and Technology for eTelecare Global Solutions.
Premier Oilfield Laboratories, LLC [HOUSTON] announced the appointment of Matt Bell as CEO. Matt spent the first half of his 20+ year oilfield career with Shell International E&P. In 2007, Matt left Shell to join GEODynamics Inc. as president. Matt then joined Ikon Science Americas.
SiFive [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Naveed Sherwani has joined the company as CEO. Sherwani joins SiFive with more than 25 years of experience in the industry at companies including Intel, Brite Semiconductor and Open Silicon.
PowerSphyr [DANVILLE, Calif.] announced that David Meng, the company’s co-founder and an innovator in the wireless power industry, has been named Chief Executive Officer. Prior to PowerSphyr, he founded and served as CEO of Spectra Optronics International. Meng succeeds Neil Ganz, who will remain on PowerSphyr’s Board of Directors. From 2005 and 2010, Meng led regional marketing and operations for Multi-FineLine Electronix. Earlier in his career, he held positions with leading global electronics corporations, including Wearnes Global and Delta Electronics.
Verify Smart Corporation (VSMR) [FERNLEY, Nev.] announced that Lou Pingitore has joined Verify Smart Corporation as CEO. Lou has held several senior management positions as Director, CIO and President.
Vapor Group, Inc. [MIAMI] (OTC Pink: VPOR) announced that Yaniv Nahon, VP, COO and Secretary of the Company was appointed the new President & CEO and Treasurer of the Company, and Dror Svorai, former President & CEO of the Company resigned as an officer and director of the Company.
NY Kids Club [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Dana Fiser as CEO. Fiser will assume this role on September 6, replacing interim CEO Fred Hipp. Previously, Fiser served as the CEO of Jenny Craig. Dana left Jenny Craig in 2014 and became the CEO of Metabolic Research Centers.
Endurance International Group Holdings, Inc. [BURLINGTON, Mass.] (NASDAQ: EIGI) announced that it has appointed Jeffrey H. Fox to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. In addition to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer, Fox will also serve on Endurance’s Board of Directors. He succeeds Hari Ravichandran, the company’s founder. Fox joins Endurance after numerous executive leadership roles, most recently at Convergys Corporation, where he was President and CEO. He is currently a principal of The Circumference Group LLC. Prior to that, Fox held multiple senior leadership roles at Alltel Corporation including COO, Group President – Shares Services, and Group President – Alltel Information Services.
TwentyEighty, Inc. [DENVER] has named Andrew Huddart as Chief Executive Officer. Huddart has strong ties to the workforce development space, having served as General Manager of Bersin by Deloitte and Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting. He also served as General Manager of the HR Practice, the Professional Services Group and Asia Pacific at CEB.
Liberty Hall Capital Partners [NEW YORK and RENTON, Wash.] announced the appointment of Daniele Cagnatel to the role of President and CEO of AIM Aerospace. Cagnatel is succeeding AIM’s current President, John Feutz. Cagnatel joins AIM from GKN Aerospace where he has served in a number of management roles, including President and CEO of GKN Aerostructures North America. While at GKN, he has also served as Vice President and General Manager for GKN Advanced Composite Structures, Head of Operations at GKN Aerospace Filton, and Managing Director for GKN Aerospace GmbH.
Onyx Automotive [SANTA ANA, CALIF.] announced that Monica Bonin has joined the company as its new CEO. Bonin previously served as director of customer experience for Transamerican Wholesale. She served in similar roles for companies such as RealTruck and AutoAnything.
Hormel Foods Corporation [AUSTIN, Minn., and WALNUT CREEK, Calif.] (NYSE: HRL) announced that Lisa Selk has been named chief executive officer of CytoSport, Inc. Selk assumes the leadership post of CytoSport after serving as marketing director for a portfolio of brands at Hormel Foods including SKIPPY® peanut butter, HERB-OX® bouillon, HOUSE OF TSANG® Asian foods and divisional innovation. Selk joined Hormel Foods in 1998 as food scientist in the research and development department. She held management and leadership roles in the specialty products division and the meat products division, serving as both the divisional innovation manager as well as manager for the HORMEL® refrigerated entrées and HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® businesses.
Ash Grove Cement [OVERLAND PARK, Kan.] announced that J. Randall Vance, president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. Vance joined Ash Grove in 2011 as chief financial officer and senior vice president of administration and was promoted to president and chief operating officer in 2014. Before joining Ash Grove, he worked in a variety of roles at Hostess Brands, Interstate Bakeries, Farmland Industries and Commerce Bank.
VerifyMe, Inc. [ROCHESTER, N.Y.] (OTCQB: VRME) announced that it has appointed Patrick White as Chief Executive Officer. White has been working as an outside consultant to the company since June 1, 2017 and he was previously the CEO and founder of Document Security Systems, Inc.
UnitedHealth Group [NEW YORK] (NYSE: UNH) announced that David S. Wichmann, president of UnitedHealth Group, will succeed Stephen J. Hemsley as chief executive officer and become a director of the company, effective Sept. 1, 2017. Wichmann joined the company in 1998 and served as chief financial officer from 2011 until mid-2016.
Imagination TV, Inc. [CASPER, Wyo.] (OTC PINK: IMTV) announced that it has appointed Juan C. Areco as its new Chief Executive Officer and Director. Areco will also continue as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Penn Virginia Corporation [HOUSTON] (NASDAQ: PVAC) announced that it has appointed John A. Brooks as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the Company. Brooks has more than 33 years of energy industry and 24 years of management experience and over 15 years with Penn Virginia. Most recently, Brooks served as Interim Principal Executive Officer of the Company since September 2016. Brooks also has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since January 2014. Previously to those roles, he served as the Company’s Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President and Vice President. Additionally, he served as Penn Virginia Oil & Gas Corporation’s Vice President and Regional Manager, Operations Manager and Drilling Manager.
World Kitchen, LLC [ROSEMONT, Ill.] announced the appointment of Kenneth G. Wilkes as President and Chief Executive Officer. Wilkes succeeds Carl Warschausky. Wilkes most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Anchor Glass Container Corporation. Previously, he served as General Manager of International Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Libbey Inc.
Sur La Table [SEATTLE] announced the appointment of Billy May as Chief Executive Officer. May will also join the Board of Directors and succeeds Diane Neal. May joins the company from Abercrombie and Fitch where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and member of the executive leadership team. Previously, he helped lead Global Digital and eCommerce at Adidas Group, and held various leadership roles at Sears Holdings and Lowe’s Companies.
