Waste Management, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NYSE: WM) announced that it has named James (Jim) C. Fish, Jr. as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also been elected to the Board of Directors. Fish succeeds David P. Steiner as CEO. Steiner served as CEO since 2004 and remains on the Board of Directors. Jim Fish has held several roles of increasing responsibility since he joined Waste Management in 2001. Prior to becoming CFO in 2012 and President and CFO in July 2016, he held several key positions with the Company, including Senior Vice President for the Company’s Eastern Group, Area Vice President for Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Market Area General Manager for Massachusetts and Rhode Island, Vice President of Price Management and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Before joining Waste Management, Fish held finance and revenue management positions at Westex, a Yellow-Roadway subsidiary; Trans World Airlines; and America West Airlines. He began his professional career at KPMG Peat Marwick.
The Priceline Group [NORWALK, Conn.] (NASDAQ: PCLN) announced that priceline.com’s current interim Chief Executive Officer, Brett Keller, has been named Chief Executive Officer of priceline.com. Mr. Keller was named interim CEO of Priceline.com in June 2016 after serving as Chief Operating Officer of the business, and prior to that, Chief Marketing Officer. Keller joined priceline.com in 1999.
The E.W. Scripps Company [CINCINNATI] (NYSE: SSP) announced that president and CEO Rich Boehne will retire during the second half of 2017.
Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc. [MISSISSAUGA, ON] (NASDAQ: CPHR; TSX :CPH) announced that Stephen L. Lemieux, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the Company, has been named Interim Chief Executive Officer, replacing Shawn O’Brien, who is pursuing other opportunities. Mr. Lemieux will also continue in the role as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the Company during this interim period. Prior to joining Cipher, Mr. Lemieux served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nuvo Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Nuvo in 2007, Mr. Lemieux held multiple senior financial positions, including Corporate Controller at Martinrea International Inc., and Assistant Controller at Magna Powertrain. Mr. Lemieux also worked for Ernst & Young performing audit.
CME Group [CHICAGO] announced that its Chief Executive Officer Phupinder Gill has informed the Company’s Board of Directors that he is retiring from the organization and Board. Gill was named CEO in 2012. At the Board’s request, Terry Duffy has assumed the expanded role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The Honorable Terrence A. Duffy has served as Executive Chairman and President of CME Group since 2012. Previously, Duffy served as Executive Chairman since July 2007. He served as Chairman of the Board of CME and CME Holdings since April 2002 and as Executive Chairman since October 2006. He was Vice Chairman of the Board of CME Holdings Inc. from its formation in August 2001 and of the Board of CME from 1998 to April 2002. He was President of TDA Trading, Inc. from 1981 to 2002. Duffy currently serves as Co-Chair of the Mayo Clinic Greater Chicago Leadership Council. He also is Vice Chairman of the CME Group Foundation and President of the CME Group Community Foundation.
Virtuozzo [SEATTLE] announced the appointment of George Karidis as its chief executive officer. Mr. Karidis served as chief strategy officer and chief operating officer at SoftLayer Technologies. Most recently, Mr. Karidis held the position of president, Cloud Technology Services, at CompuCom. He also held roles at Devonshire Investors, a private equity firm, as well as The Yankee Group.
Associated Capital Group, Inc. [RYE, N.Y.] (NYSE: AC) announced that Douglas Jamieson has been named the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Jamieson, a 35 year veteran of the Gabelli organization, will succeed Mario Gabelli as Chief Executive Officer. Mario Gabelli will now serve as Executive Chairman of the Company.
OFD Foods [ALBANY, Ore.] has promoted company president Jim Merryman to president and chief executive officer. Merryman joined OFD Foods in 1974. He was appointed president and chief operating officer in 2011.
Travelers Canada [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Heather Masterson as President and Chief Executive Officer. Masterson succeeds Duane Sanders, who has taken a senior leadership role in the company’s largest business segment in the United States. Masterson joined Travelers Canada in September 2015 as Chief Operating Officer, and was previously President and CEO of Totten Insurance Group. She also held several executive positions at HUB International and served as Vice President of AIG WorldSource.
BrightView [PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.] announced that Andrew Masterman is joining the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Masterman, who also will join the company’s Board of Directors, succeeds Pat Velasco, who has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer since July 2016. Mr. Velasco will remain on BrightView’s Board of Directors. Mr. Masterman is joining BrightView after serving as Executive Vice President at Precision Castparts. At Precision Castparts, Mr. Masterman served as President of the Wyman Gordon and Structural Casting segments. Prior to Precision Castparts, Mr. Masterman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of North America for ESAB Group, Inc.
Finjan Holdings, Inc. [EAST PALO ALTO, CA] (NASDAQ: FNJN) announced that Eyal Harari has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of its wholly owned subsidiary, CybeRisk™. Eyal will replace Yoram Golandsky who is departing. Eyal’s previous role was Chief Operating Officer of CybeRisk. Prior to his work at CybeRisk, Mr. Harari held several senior positions in the Security industry. At Cisco, he was the Operations Manager of the Israeli Cyber Center of Excellence worldwide operations. Prior to Cisco, he served as the Vice President of Operations for Security-Art.
DisperSol Technologies LLC [GEORGETOWN, Texas] announced that Dr. Edward M. Rudnic has been appointed as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Dr. Gershon Yaniv, who is retiring but shall remain a member of the Board. Most recently, Dr. Rudnic has served as the Chief Executive Officer of QRx Pharma. He was the founder, Chairman and CEO of MiddleBrook (Advancis) Pharmaceuticals. Prior to founding MiddleBrook, Rudnic was Senior Vice President, Development and Technical Operations for Shire Laboratories. Dr. Rudnic has also served in management roles at Merck/Schering-Plough and Bristol Myers-Squibb.
AdvancePierre Foods [CINCINNATI] (NYSE: APFH) announced that its Board of Directors announced that Christopher D. Sliva will be appointed President and also will join the AdvancePierre Board of Directors. On March 31, 2017, current AdvancePierre Chief Executive Officer John Simons will retire and will be succeeded by Sliva. Simons will remain a member of AdvancePierre’s Board following the transition. Before joining AdvancePierre, Sliva was President and Chief Operating Officer at TreeHouse Foods, Inc. Sliva joined TreeHouse in July 2012 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its Bay Valley Foods operating unit and also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of TreeHouse and President of Bay Valley during his time at the company. Before that, Sliva spent six years as an executive at Dean Foods, including as Chief Commercial Officer of Dean’s subsidiary Fresh Dairy Direct-Morningstar, Chief Customer Officer for Dean’s White Wave Foods division and President and Chief Operating Officer for the Morningstar division. Previously, Sliva held various leadership roles and sales and marketing positions with Eastman Kodak Company, Fort James Corporation and Procter & Gamble Distributing Company.
Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: OSG) announced that Lois K. Zabrocky will become president and chief executive officer of International Seaways. Ms. Zabrocky joined OSG in 1992. She served as Senior Vice President of OSG from June 2008 through August 2014 until her appointment as Co-President and Head of the International Flag Strategic Business Unit. Ms. Zabrocky served as Chief Commercial Officer, International Flag Strategic Business Unit from May 2011 until her appointment as Head of International Flag Strategic Business Unit and as the Head of International Product Carrier and Gas Strategic Business Unit for five years prior to May 2011. She started her career at sea on a chemical tanker for OMI.
Energy Services Group, LLC [NORWELL, Mass.] has announced that Phil Galati has joined the company as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Galati succeeds Lynn Cannon, ESG’s founder and CEO. Mr. Galati’s career includes leadership roles at IBM, Sterling Commerce, Dell and Ernst & Young.
Adeptus Health Inc. [LEWISVILLE, Texas] (NYSE: ADPT) announced that Gregory W. Scott, who was recently appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of Thomas S. Hall. Prior to joining Adeptus as an independent director in 2013, Mr. Scott served as the Co-President of Universal American Corporation. Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of APS Healthcare, prior to its acquisition by Universal American and has also served as Chief Financial Officer of PacifiCare Health Systems. Mr. Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors of Q-Centrix, Inc. and as Chairman of its Audit Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Elements Behavioral Health.
Lumber Liquidators [TOANO, Va.] (NYSE: LL) announced that John M. Presley is resigning as Chief Executive Officer, and the board of directors has appointed Dennis R. Knowles, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, to succeed Mr. Presley as CEO. Mr. Knowles joined the Company in March 2016 as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Knowles previously served in store operations leadership roles at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. since 2001, most recently as Chief Store Operations Officer.
Interups Inc. [NEW YORK] (OTCQB: ITUP) announced that Louise Jones has been named Chief Executive Officer of Interups, Inc. Hadley W. Donenberg, former Interim CEO of Interups, Inc. has been named Chairman of the Company. Ms. Jones has been associated with the Company since July, 2016. Prior to that, from November, 2014, until July, 2016, she was a partner at the Murray Peeler Group. In 1993, Ms. Jones was founding partner of Cassidy, Jones & Co., Inc., and was that firm’s President and CEO. Ms. Jones held positions with VanDerMoolen Specialists as Head of Business Development from 2006-2008, and Head of Business Development at Curex Currency Hedge Fund from 2008-2009.
Citizens, Inc. [AUSTIN, Texas] (NYSE: CIA) announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Geoff Kolander as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He replaces Interim CEO Kay Osbourn. Kolander was the former Chief Legal Officer and head of Corporate Strategy.
OMNOVA Solutions Inc. [BEACHWOOD, Ohio] (NYSE: OMN) announced that Kevin M. McMullen is stepping down as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, and as a member of the Board of Directors, to pursue other interests. McMullen has been leading the company for over 16 years. McMullen will be succeeded by Anne P. Noonan as OMNOVA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Noonan will also be appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Noonan is currently the President of OMNOVA’s Performance Chemicals business. Prior to joining OMNOVA in 2014, Noonan served as Senior Vice President and President of Chemtura Corporation’s Industrial Engineered Products. She began her career as an Analytical Research Chemist with McNeil Specialty Chemicals Company and Squibb-Linson, Co. Since 2015, Noonan has been a member of the Board of Directors of CF Industries, as well as the Board of Directors of the American Chemistry Council.
Nuix [HERNDON, Va.] has appointed Ethan Treese as its Chief Executive Officer—Americas. Treese’s appointment will allow long-serving executive Dr. Jim Kent to focus on his role as Global Head of Security & Intelligence. Before joining Nuix, Treese served in a variety of leadership and business development roles at Dun & Bradstreet. Treese is also a Director of the BrightFocus Foundation.
DBi Services [HAZLETON, Pa.] has named Roger Zino as its Chief Executive Officer. Zino’s background includes 14 years at ValleyCrest Companies. He started as President of Valley Crest Landscape Maintenance. Prior to ValleyCrest, Zino spent ten years with McKinsey and Company in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he worked for the Ford Motor Company in Body and Assembly operations and for Arthur Andersen & Co.
FollowAnalytics [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Carl Theobald as CEO and to the Board of Directors. Before joining FollowAnalytics, Theobald was the CEO of Avangate. He is also a former Oracle CRM product executive.
MFRI, Inc. [NILES, IL] (NASDAQ: MFRI) announced the appointment of David J. Mansfield as president and chief executive officer. Bradley Mautner, who previously served as president and chief executive officer, will continue as a member of the company’s board of directors and also as a vice president of MFRI. Mr. Mansfield joins MFRI from Compressor Engineering Corp. & CECO Pipeline Services Co. Prior to that, Mr. Mansfield spent more than 17 years with Bredero Shaw, most recently in the position of vice president strategic planning.
ILG [MIAMI] (NASDAQ: ILG) announced that Sergio D. Rivera, has been named president and CEO of the company’s Vacation Ownership operating segment. Rivera joined the ILG board of directors in May, and was most recently president of The Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. He previously served as president and CEO of Starwood Vacation Ownership.
