Amtrak [WASHINGTON] announced that it has named Charles W. “Wick” Moorman as its next president and chief executive officer. Moorman, retired chairman, CEO, and president of Norfolk Southern Corp. (NS), will lead the company, effective September 1, 2016. Moorman serves on the boards of Duke Energy Corporation and Chevron Corporation. Moorman succeeds current CEO Joe Boardman, who announced his intention to retire last fall.
Changepoint [SEATTLE] announced it has appointed Matt Scheuing as Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Matt was CEO of Tideland Signal. He previously spearheaded StrataGen. Matt also led IntelliTax. His prior experience also included C-level roles in enterprise document, workflow and speech recognition applications.
Lincoln Financial Network [PHILADELPHIA] announced the retirement of Larry Phillips and appointment of Peter Giaccio as chief executive officer. After 48 years in the financial services industry, Phillips, who served as chief executive officer of TRG beginning in 2000, retired on June 30, 2016. Giaccio joined Lincoln in 2004. Prior to his role as chief executive officer of TRG, Giaccio served as vice president of Strategic Market Access for Lincoln Financial Network.
YP [ATLANTA] announced that Jared Rowe has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rowe joins YP from Cox Enterprises, where he most recently served as President of Cox Automotive Media Solutions Group. Mr. Rowe joined Cox in 2010 and held a number of leadership positions in Cox Automotive. Prior to that, Mr. Rowe spent more than nine years at FordDirect.
Bostwick Laboratories [UNIONDALE, N.Y.] announced that Bostwick Founder and Former Chief Executive Officer Dr. David G. Bostwick has returned to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Bostwick succeeds interim Chief Executive Officer Michael J. Parsons, former CEO of SouthernCare and COO of Triad Hospitals. Dr. Bostwick founded Bostwick in 1999 and has served in multiple capacities at the Company since its founding, including Chief Medical Officer, President, and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Bostwick previously was a professor of urology and pathology at the Mayo Clinic.
Foster Farms [LIVINGSTON, Calif.] announced that its board of directors has appointed Laura Flanagan president and chief executive officer. She will succeed Ron Foster as Foster Farms’ president and CEO. Flanagan most recently served as president of the ConAgra Foods Snacks Division. Before taking leadership of the Snacks Division, Flanagan served as president of ConAgra’s Convenient Meals Division from 2008 to 2011. Before joining ConAgra, Flanagan served as vice president and chief marketing officer of Tropicana Shelf Stable Juices at PepsiCo and, from 1996 to 2005, held brand-management positions at General Mills and PepsiCo. Earlier, she was a manufacturing engineer at Saturn Corporation.
Benihana Inc. [AVENTURA, Fla.] announced that it named Thomas J. Baldwin Chief Executive Officer and President. Baldwin currently serves on the Board of Directors of Benihana and is an advisor to Angelo, Gordon & Co., Benihana’s principal investor. Baldwin recently served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Morton’s Restaurant Group.
Enactus [SPRINGFIELD, Mo.] announced that it has named Rachael A. Jarosh as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. Jarosh succeeds Alvin Rohrs, who announced his intent to retire Previously, Jarosh served as president of the Pentair Foundation.
TwentyEighty Strategy Execution [ARLINGTON, Va.] announced the appointment of Bob Seiler as chief executive officer. For the last 14 months, Seiler has served as TwentyEighty Strategy Execution’s chief revenue officer. Prior to joining TwentyEighty Strategy Execution, Seiler served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for PR Newswire. Before he joined PR Newswire, he was vice president of SPSS.
ArmorWorks Enterprises, LLC [PHOENIX] announced the appointment of Brad Pedersen as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Pedersen replaces William Perciballi, founder and CEO of ArmorWorks for the last 20 years. Mr. Pedersen joins ArmorWorks from Breeze-Eastern, where he served as President and CEO since 2012. Prior to that he was President of Airborne Systems Inc., where he served as Chief Operating Officer and later President. He also spent six years at Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., most recently as Director of M&A, and in senior leadership positions at Boeing, where he began his career in 1983.
Relayware [JERSEY CITY, N.J. & OXFORD, England] announced the appointment of Gordon Rapkin as chief executive officer. Former CEO Bob Mann will continue to chair Relayware’s board of directors. Previously, Rapkin successfully served as CEO of three high-tech companies, including Archive Systems, and Protegrity.
Tennessee Industrial Electronics [La Vergne, TN] announced that Tony Wisniewski has been named President & Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Most recently, Wisniewski served as VP and General Manager at Quinn Group, one of the largest Caterpillar equipment dealers in the United States.
Barnes & Noble, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: BKS) announced the departure of its Chief Executive Officer, Ronald D. Boire. The Company also said that its Executive Chairman, Leonard Riggio, who was scheduled to retire at the close of the Company’s Annual Meeting on September 14, will postpone his retirement until a later date. Mr. Riggio, along with other members of the executive management team, will assume Mr. Boire’s duties.
Ronald McDonald House® New York announced that Ruth C. Browne has been selected as president and chief executive officer of the organization. Dr. Browne joins Ronald McDonald House New York from the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health, where she served as CEO since 2004. Dr. Browne will assume the role on September 19, 2016. In addition to serving as CEO, Dr. Browne served in a number of leadership positions for the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health since 1993. Active in many organizations, Dr. Browne currently serves on the board of Interfaith Medical Center. She is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Manhattan Chapter, advancing leadership opportunities for African-American women and girls. An Associate Clinical Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical, she holds academic appointments in the Schools of Medicine, Health Related Professions and Public Health.
KIDBOX [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Miki Racine Berardelli as Chief Executive Officer. Berardelli joins from Chico’s FAS where she was President of Digital Commerce and CMO. Prior to Chico’s FAS, she served as CMO of Tory Burch. Berardelli served on the Shop.org board of directors, most recently as Chairman, and currently serves as the Chairman of the CMO Council for the National Retail Federation. She is also on the board of Giggle Inc. Berardelli is scheduled to officially start with the company in September 2016.
PlumChoice, Inc. [LOWELL, Mass.] announced that David Shimoni has been appointed president and chief executive officer. David succeeds Bob Badavas who has led the company over the past four years. Most recently, Shimoni was president and general manager at Mformation Software Technologies. Prior to Mformation Software Technologies, Shimoni served in executive leadership roles at market leaders including Comverse Network Systems, Mobixell Networks and Networks In Motion.
Crestone Peak Resources [DENVER] announced that Tony Buchanon joined as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Buchanon has also been named to the Company’s Board of Directors. Buchanon most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Bonanza Creek Energy, and previously as Production Operations Manager for Noble Energy, Inc.
Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (CSI) [ST. PAUL, Minn.] (NASDAQ: CSII) announced that it has named Scott R. Ward as the company’s new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Ward has been serving as Chairman since November 2014 and Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since November 2015. He joined CSI’s board in 2013.
Recorded Books, Inc. [PRINCE FREDERICK, MD] announced that Tom MacIsaac has joined the company as its president and chief executive officer. Prior to joining Recorded Books, Mr. MacIsaac served as CEO of Verve Mobile from 2010 to 2015. Before joining Verve, Mr. MacIsaac held several senior leadership roles at other media and technology firms. These roles included his service as CEO of ExtendMedia; senior vice president, strategy & corporate development, at AOL; and CEO of Lightningcast. Mr. MacIsaac began his career as an attorney at Dechert LLP.
Pioneer Bank [DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas] announced that it has appointed Ron Coben as interim Chief Executive Officer. Jeff Wilkinson, Pioneer Bank’s President and CEO has resigned to pursue his next entrepreneurial challenge. Most recently, Coben served as Chief Operating Officer of Pioneer Bank and First Community Bank, Pioneer’s merger partner. He began his banking career 30 years ago with Texas Commerce Bank followed by a 14 year tenure at Houston-based Bank United FSB where he served as Executive Vice President-Retail Banking. Coben also has provided consulting services to firms including Barclays UK and Guaranty Bank.
Verisk Health [WALTHAM, Mass.] announced that Emad Rizk has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dr. Rizk joins Verisk Health from Accretive Health, Inc. where he served as CEO and as a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to Accretive Health, he was President at McKesson Health Solutions. He is also a regular lecturer at Wharton, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, and Kellogg.
Intervention Insights [WALTHAM, Mass.] announced that Steven W. Jones has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and board member. Steven joins Intervention Insights from Dental Services Group, where he served as Chief Acquisition Officer. Prior to that position, he was the Division President and Executive Vice President of Business Development at CarePoint Partners, LLC.
Javelin Agency [NEW YORK] part of the DAS Group of Companies, announced that Michael McCartin, formerly president, has been named CEO of Javelin, succeeding Pamela Larrick, who will transition to the role of chairman.
NVBOTS [BOSTON] announced the addition of Duncan McCallum as CEO. AJ Perez, founding CEO of NVBOTS, has been elevated to Chairman and will lead NVLABS. Previously, as CEO, Duncan co-founded, built and sold two companies (Cilk Arts, VeloBit). Earlier in his career, Duncan was a venture capitalist at Bessemer Venture Partners.
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) [WASHINGTON] announced the appointment of Alicia Levi as RIF’s new President and CEO. She succeeds Carol H. Rasco who is retiring after 15 years of leadership and service. Prior to joining RIF, Ms. Levi served as Vice President, Education at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Ms. Levi also served as Vice President, Educational Publishing at Discovery Education.
The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM) [DALLAS, TX] announced that it has selected Bill Yanek as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the association. Yanek has served as the Executive Vice President of the Glass Association of North America (GANA) for the past nine years, and will assume the CEO role at PRSM, September 19.
ALPHAEON Corporation [IRVINE, Calif.] announced that Murthy Simhambhatla has been appointed CEO and President. Dr. Simhambhatla replaces Robert E. Grant who was recently appointed as Vice Chairman of the ALPHAEON Board of Directors. Dr. Simhambhatla joins ALPHAEON from Strathspey Crown where he has served as Senior Partner. Prior to joining Strathspey Crown, he was most recently Senior Vice President at Abbott Laboratories and President of Abbott Medical Optics (AMO).
TeleSign [LOS ANGELES] announced it has appointed Aled Miles as CEO. Prior to joining TeleSign, Miles spent a combined 20 years at Symantec, most recently on the executive team, where he served as senior vice president responsible for the global Norton business, the Latin America geography, Global Strategic Accounts and IoT, Cloud & SaaS Partnerships worldwide. Most recently, Miles was executive vice president and GM at ForgeRock.
OnX Enterprise Solutions [TORONTO and NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Tom Signorello as new CEO. Signorello, who was Senior Vice President and Managing Director, North America, for Diebold Inc., succeeds Michael Cox, who retired as CEO at the end of April after three years. Before joining Diebold in 2014, he was vice president global managed services, North America at Unisys. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, global government managed services at Xerox. He also has been regional vice president and general manager at Unisys and held several leadership roles, including vice president and general manager during his 14-year-career at Computer Sciences Corp.
The Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) [SEATTLE] announced that Cassie Sauer, the association’s current executive vice president, will in January become the organization’s new chief executive officer. Sauer replaces outgoing CEO Scott Bond, who will retire at the end of the year.
RTI Surgical Inc. [ALACHUA, Fla.] (NASDAQ: RTIX) announced that Brian K. Hutchison has informed the RTI board of directors that he has decided to retire from his position as president and chief executive officer and step down from the board of directors.
A. Schulman, Inc. [AKRON, Ohio] (Nasdaq-GS: SHLM) announced that Chairman Joseph M. Gingo has been named chief executive officer and president. Gingo had previously served in this capacity from 2008 through 2014. The Board and Bernard Rzepka, president and chief executive officer, have mutually agreed that he will relinquish his officer role and his directorship role.
