TCP International Holdings Ltd. [AURORA, Ohio] (NYSE: TCPI) announced that Chief Executive Officer K.R. “Kaj” den Daas has resigned for personal reasons. The Board of Directors named Brian Catlett, currently Chief Financial Officer, as interim CEO. Mr. Catlett has served as Chief Financial Officer since January 2014 after serving as Senior Vice President of Global Finance since 2012. He has served in various executive capacities for over 25 years, including chief financial officer and managing partner of a private equity fund. From 2004 until 2012, Mr. Catlett was a partner in Consumer Innovation Partners.
Verso Corporation [MEMPHIS, Tenn.] (NYSE: VRS) announced that David J. Paterson will retire as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Verso.
Pond5 [NEW YORK] has announced the appointment of Jason Teichman as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Board Director. Teichman was most recently Chief Operating Officer at Web.com Group. Prior to joining Web.com, Teichman served in executive leadership roles at Register.com, before its sale to Web.com, and American Express, as Vice President for its Card Services Division.
Rock Solid Images Inc. [HOUSTON] announced that Richard Cooper is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of RSI, and leaving the Company. Anthony Greer has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of RSI. Anthony currently serves as RSI’s Chief Operating Officer.
comScore [RESTON, Va.] (NASDAQ: SCOR) announced that its Board of Directors has named company co-founder Gian Fulgoni as its Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Serge Matta, who will serve as Executive Vice Chairman and Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Fulgoni most recently served comScore as Chairman Emeritus, a role he has held since 2014, and he will continue to serve on the Board. Mr. Fulgoni previously served as the company’s Executive Chairman of the Board from 1999 to March 2014 and has been a member of the Board since 1999. From 1981 to 1998, Mr. Fulgoni was President / CEO of Information Resources, Inc.
Cypress Semiconductor Corporation [SAN JOSE, Calif].] (NASDAQ: CY) announced that Hassane El-Khoury has been named its president, chief executive officer, and a member of its board of directors. Before joining Cypress in 2007, El-Khoury served in various roles with Continental Automotive Systems in the U.S., Germany and Japan.
Swift Energy Company [HOUSTON] announced that Terry Earl Swift is retiring from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Swift has served in the CEO role since 2001 and will remain a member of the Board of Directors until he exits the CEO role.
Neovia Logistics [IRVING, Texas] announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Gary (Pat) Olney as Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Interim Chief Executive Officer Steve Larson. Olney served most recently as chief operating officer of TRW Automotive and before that as president and chief executive officer of Volvo Construction Equipment.
Hirtle Callaghan [PHILADELPHIA] announced that Ranji Nagaswami has been named Chief Executive Officer. From 2010 to 2012, Ms. Nagaswami served as Chief Investment Advisor to the administration of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg for the City of New York’s $150 billion Employee Retirement Systems. Prior to joining the public sector, Ms. Nagaswami was Chief Investment Officer within the Blend Strategies team of Alliance Bernstein L.P., and earlier was Chief Investment Officer of Alliance Bernstein Investments. Ms. Nagaswami joined Sanford C. Bernstein in 1999. From 1986 to 1999, she was at UBS Asset Management and its predecessor organizations, where her last role was Managing Director and Co-Head of U.S. Fixed Income. Most recently, she served as Operating Partner and Senior Advisor at Corsair Capital, and as a Strategist with Bridgewater Associates.
Guitar Center [LOS ANGELES, CA] announced that Ron Japinga will become Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Darrell Webb. Before joining Guitar Center, Japinga had an 8-year career at West Marine where he was the Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Planning and Logistics. Prior to that, Japinga was a VP-level executive with Kohl’s Department Stores.
Bridgestone Golf [COVINGTON, Ga.] announced Angel Ilagan has joined the company and will assume the role of President and CEO. Prior to joining Bridgestone Golf, Ilagan was named Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer with Vera Bradley. Prior to joining Vera Bradley, Ilagan was Chief Marketing Officer/ Vice President of Marketing-Americas for Pandora Jewelry. In addition, Ilagan has held key marketing roles with several companies including Newell Rubbermaid, Bristol-Myers Squibb, McCormick, Conagra and General Mills.
NewCastle Gold Ltd. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: NCA) announced the appointment of Gerald Panneton as President and Chief Executive Officer. Gerald Panneton was the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Detour Gold Corporation from its incorporation in July 2006 until November 2013. From 1994 to 2006 Mr. Panneton was with Barrick Gold Corporation where for the last six years of his tenure he was Director of Advanced Projects and Evaluations. Prior to Barrick Gold, he worked for Lac Minerals, Placer Dome Exploration and Vior-Mazarin Group.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. [GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.] (NASDAQ: RRGB) announced that Denny Marie Post has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and to the board of directors. Ms. Post, who currently serves as President, will succeed Steve Carley, who is retiring from the role he has held since September 2010. Ms. Post joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in August 2011, was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Concept Officer in March 2015, and promoted to President in February 2016. Before joining Red Robin, she held many positions in the consumer industry including senior vice president, chief marketing officer of T-Mobile USA; senior vice president, Global Beverage, Food, and Quality at Starbucks Corporation; and as senior vice president, and chief concept officer of Burger King Corporation.
Scoular Company [OMAHA] announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Paul Maass as Chief Executive Officer. Maass most recently served as President of ConAgra Foods’ Commercial Foods and Private Brands segments as well as Chairman of the Ardent Mills joint venture. He began his 27-year career with ConAgra as a commodity merchandiser. Throughout his career, he served in various leadership positions, including Director, ConAgra Trade Group (now Gavilon, LLC); President, ConAgra Mills; President, Lamb Weston; and President, Commercial Foods division.
Grainger [CHICAGO] (NYSE: GWW) announced that the Board of Directors approved the nomination of DG Macpherson, currently Chief Operating Officer, to become Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. He replaces Jim Ryan, Chairman, President and CEO for the past 8 years. Macpherson became COO in 2015. He joined Grainger in 2008 after working closely with Grainger for six years as a partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group, where he was a member of the Industrial Goods Leadership Team. Early in his career, he was an operations manager for Rain Bird Sprinkler Manufacturing Company and a test engineer with the U.S. Air Force.
Unitrends [BURLINGTON, Mass.] announced Paul Brady as the company’s new chief executive officer. Before joining Unitrends, he was the CEO of ObserveIT. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and general manager of the Performance Management business unit at Riverbed Technology. Brady’s other senior leadership positions include: President and CEO, Mazu Networks; President, Guardent; Senior Vice President, Exodus; CEO, Cohesive Technology Solutions; Founder and CEO, Business Technologies Inc.
ReShape Medical Inc. [SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.] announced the appointment of Michael J. Mangano as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his role at Sirtex Medical, Mr. Mangano served 15 years at Boston Scientific, where he most recently functioned as Director of International Distribution Management on the senior leadership team.
Cision [CHICAGO] announced that Kevin Akeroyd has been named global chief executive officer. Akeroyd succeeds Peter Granat, who will transition to chairman of the Cision Board of Directors. Akeroyd was most recently general manager and senior vice president at Oracle Marketing Cloud. Prior to Oracle, Akeroyd held senior leadership positions at companies including Data.com, Salesforce.com, RR Donnelley, and Jigsaw.
ECMC Group [OAKDALE, Minn.] announced that Dave Hawn, president and CEO, will leave the organization to assume a new role as CEO of Urban Ventures. Hawn has served as president and CEO of ECMC Group since Feb. 1, 2014, and will continue to serve the organization in an advisory capacity through at least the end of 2016. The board of directors of ECMC Group affiliate Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) appointed Jan Hines president and chief executive officer of ECMC.
Fluoresentric, Inc. [PARK CITY, Utah] announced that Lynda A. Merrill has assumed the position of CEO previously held by William C. Olson. Ms. Merrill has extensive experience from positions at QIAGEN, Boehringer Mannheim, Gen-Probe and Immunodiagnostic Systems. She is currently a board member of Fluoresentric subsidiary XCR Diagnostics, a position she will continue to hold as CEO of Fluoresentric.
Woodstream Corporation [NEW YORK] announced that Miguel A. Nistal has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. He replaces current President and CEO Harry E. Whaley, who will continue as a consultant to the Company. Mr. Nistal comes to Woodstream from Swan Products, LLC, where he was president and CEO since 2013. Mr. Nistal’s prior positions also include serving as CEO for Keys Fitness and in several senior positions with The Stanley Works. Earlier in his career, Mr. Nistal held marketing, product management and engineering positions with Thomson Consumer Electronics and General Electric Company.
CloudCar [PALO ALTO, Calif.] announced the appointment of Philipp Popov as their new CEO. He assumed responsibility in February 2016 succeeding Konstantin Othmer who is stepping down and continuing as Member of the Board. Philipp was the Founder and CEO at S1NN GmbH (acquired by Harman International). Prior to joining CloudCar™, Philipp also held Executive level positions in TradeBeam, Harman/Becker, and Bose.
Pepperdata [CUPERTINO, CA] announced that Ashfaq Munshi has joined the company as chief executive officer. Cofounder and former CEO Sean Suchter will assume the position of CTO. Most recently, Munshi was executive chairman for Marianas Labs. Prior to that he was CEO for Graphite Systems. Munshi has also served as CTO of Yahoo, a CEO of both public and private companies, and is on the board of several technology startups.
National HealthCare Corporation [MURFREESBORO, Tenn.] (NYSE MKT: NHC) announced the appointment of Stephen F. Flatt as CEO. He replaces Robert G. Adams, who is retiring. Dr. Flatt joined NHC in 2005 as Senior Vice President of Development. On January 1, 2009, Dr. Flatt was promoted to the role of NHC’s President. Dr. Flatt currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Council for Post Acute Care (CPAC) and the Boards of Directors of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and Nashville Inner City Ministry.
TerraVia Holdings, Inc. [SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.] (NASDAQ: TVIA) announced that Apu Mody, former President of Mars Food America, has been appointed CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. He replaces Jonathan Wolfson, who will then assume the role of Executive Chairman. Mr. Mody was most recently the President of Mars Food America. Prior to Mars, Apu spent six years at Del Monte Foods, in various Strategy and General Management roles, ultimately joining the Executive team as the SVP and GM for the Consumer Products Division.
MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. [LAFAYETTE, La.] (NYSE: MSL) reported the promotion of Troy Cloutier to Chief Executive Officer of MidSouth Bank. He replaces Rusty Cloutier, who will remain President and CEO of MidSouth Bancorp, Inc., MidSouth Bank’s holding company. Troy has served as President of MidSouth Bank for the past year. Mr. Cloutier previously held the position of Chief Banking Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of MidSouth Bank since January 2011 and before that was Regional President for more than eight years. Troy Cloutier has been with MidSouth Bank since 1992.
World and Main, LLC [CRANBURY, N.J.] announced the appointment of Bryan Yeazel as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Yeazel succeeds G. Stephen LeGraw, who served as interim CEO. Mr. Yeazel most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Stock Building Supply. Previously, Mr. Yeazel served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Stock Building Supply.
Vantage Drilling International [HOUSTON, TX] announced that its Board of Directors will name Mr. Ihab Toma as the Company’s next Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Since 2014, Mr. Toma has been serving as a senior advisor to First Reserve Corporation. From 2009 until 2013, Mr. Toma served in various executive capacities at Transocean, serving in the positions of Executive Vice President – Chief of Staff, Executive Vice President – Operations, Executive Vice President – Global Business and Senior Vice President – Marketing and Planning. Prior to his time at Transocean, from 1986 until 2009, he served in multiple roles at Schlumberger. He served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Europe, Africa and Caspian for Schlumberger Oilfield Services from April 2006 to August 2009. From 2000 to 2006, he led Schlumberger’s Information Solutions business in various capacities, including President, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Vice President – Information Management and Vice President – Europe, Africa and CIS Operations. Mr. Toma began his career with Schlumberger in 1986.
American Veterinary Medical Association [SCHAUMBURG, Ill] announced that Dr. Janet Donlin has been named executive vice president/chief executive officer. Donlin will succeed Dr. Ron DeHaven, who is retiring after nine years of service to the AVMA. Donlin has served as chief executive officer of the AVMA Professional Liability Insurance Trust (AVMA PLIT) since April 2013. Donlin’s started working in 1991 as an assistant director in what was then the AVMA Scientific Activities Division. Over the course of the next 17 years, she served as an interim division director, associate executive vice president and assistant executive vice president. From 2000-2001, Donlin’s role at the AVMA also included serving as interim CEO of the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues.
