Twitter, Inc. [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: TWTR) announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Bret Taylor to serve as a Board member. Taylor is currently the CEO and co-founder of Quip. Previously, Bret was the Chief Technology Officer of Facebook, after it acquired FriendFeed, the social network he co-founded in 2007. Prior to that, Bret was a Group Product Manager at Google.
Torstar Corporation [TORONTO, ON] (TSX: TS.B) announced that David Holland has decided to retire as President and CEO of Torstar Corporation. Torstar has initiated a search to fill the joint position of President and CEO of Torstar and Publisher of the Toronto Star. Mr. Holland has worked in a number of divisions within Torstar since 1986, and has served as President and CEO for the past seven years.
Skyhook [BOSTON] announced the appointment of Craig Waggy as chief executive officer. Waggy joined TruePosition in 2005, serving as its executive vice president of finance and administration from 2005 to early 2014 when he was appointed CEO. Prior to TruePosition, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of OpenTV Corp and Liberty Broadband Interactive Television.
Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, Ontario] announced that it has appointed Patrick Arkeveld as its new Chief Executive Officer. Lorne Wallace, founder and former CEO of Lone Wolf, will assume an active role as Executive Chairman. Arkeveld served as President of Lone Wolf for the past year. Prior to joining, he served as the President of Jonas Construction Group. During his time at Jonas Software, Patrick held a number of operational roles.
Citadel [CHICAGO] announced the appointment of B. Kevin Turner as Chief Executive Officer of Citadel Securities and Vice Chairman of Citadel. Turner, who spent 11 years as Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft, will join Citadel Securities after a short transition period from Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Turner spent nearly 20 years at Walmart. He joined the company as a cashier while pursuing his undergraduate degree, and at 29, he was named the youngest corporate officer in Walmart’s history. Turner was named Walmart’s Chief Information Officer and later President and CEO of Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart.
StockTwits, Inc. [NEW YORK] announced that it has named Ian Rosen as Chief Executive Officer. Ian joins StockTwits from MarketWatch Inc and also co-founded and served as CEO of Even Financial. Ian has served as an advisor to StockTwits since 2013.
Integra ServiceConnect [OWINGS MILLS, Md.] announced the appointment of Richard “Rick” M. Hassett as Chief Executive Officer. Michael Yuhas, the company’s founder and former CEO, will continue to serve on the company’s Board and assume the role of Chairman. Most recently, Rick served as an Executive in Residence at Warburg Pincus. Previously, he was CEO of NovaSom. Earlier, Rick held the Chief Strategic Officer and President posts at Matria Healthcare.
Mirixa Corporation [RESTON, VIRIGINIA] announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Frank Harvey as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Harvey will also serve as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Mirixa, Mr. Harvey served as Chairman and CEO of Liberty Medical; he was initially hired as the Chief Marketing Officer and was subsequently promoted to President, and then to Chairman and CEO. Previously, Mr. Harvey was President and CEO of several Harte-Hanks subsidiaries before being promoted to Corporate Officer. Early in his career, Mr. Harvey was employed in a number of management positions with Roche Pharmaceutical, PCS Healthsystems, Eli Lilly, and Revco Drug Stores.
Millennial Benefit Management Corporation [BOCA RATON, FL.] announced the hiring of Mike Schweiger as chief executive officer. Prior to Millenial Benefits, Schweiger worked as chief financial officer at Zimmerman, an Omnicom company.
NABUFIT Global Inc. [OREM, UT] (OTCQB: NBFT) announced that Brian Palm Svaneeng Mertz was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and its Chief Executive Officer. At the same time Ulrik Moll, who has been the Company’s Chief Executive Officer since December 2015 has ceased his services with NABUFIT. Mr. Mertz served as a director and as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer from November 2014 through December 2015. Mr. Mertz served as Chief Operations Officer of EuroTrust from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Mertz was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Guava A/S, during the period from 2004 to 2009 and Chief Executive Officer of the Norwegian listed entertainment company NIO Inc. (Now Gaming Innovation Group) during 2012 to 2014.
Health Integrated™ [TAMPA, Fla.] has named Health Integrated Chief Revenue Officer Zachary Fritz as chief executive officer. Shan Padda, longtime major shareholder and Health Integrated’s CEO since 2005, remains board chairman.
Millar, Inc. [HOUSTON] announced the appointment of Tim Daugherty as Chief Executive Officer and President. Tim Daugherty, who served as President, succeeds Craig Thummel, previous CEO and member of the Board of Directors.
Workfront [SILICON SLOPES, Utah] announced the hiring of Alex Shootman as the company’s President and CEO and member of its Board of Directors. Most recently, Shootman was the president of Apptio. Prior to Apptio, Shootman was the president of Eloqua. Shootman has also held executive-level positions with Vignette, TeleTech, BMC Software and IBM.
FANUC America Corporation [ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.] announced Mike Cicco has been named the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Cicco joined FANUC in 1999 and has held a variety of management positions over the years including software/controls manager and district sales manager at the company’s Southern California facility. In 2005, Cicco transferred to FANUC’s headquarters in Rochester Hills, MI to take on the role of national account manager of the company’s Authorized System Integrator sales group. As his career progressed, he was named general manager of several robot division groups including Material Handling Engineering, Authorized System Integrator sales and Domestic Automotive/Michigan Regional sales. In 2015, Cicco was promoted to vice president of FANUC’s North and South American sales and execution. In April 2016, Cicco was named president and COO. Before joining FANUC, Cicco served as lead automation engineer in Northrop Grumman’s Automation and Information Systems group.
4A’s [NEW YORK] announced that president and CEO Nancy Hill will be stepping down next year. The association’s Board of Directors has initiated a search to identify a successor. Hill joined the 4A’s as president and chief executive officer in 2008.
ZAACT [SALT LAKE CITY] announced that is has appoined Jeff Johnson to the role of CEO. Prior to joining ZAACT, Jeff held the positions of Senior Vice President of Strategy at Dātu Health, and Assistant Vice President of eBusiness at Intermountain Healthcare.
NextGxDx [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] announced Rob Metcalf has succeeded Mark Harris as chief executive officer. Harris, who founded the healthcare information technology company in 2010, has elected to take a new leadership position, chief innovation officer. Metcalf most recently served as president and chief operating officer for Digital Reasoning. Metcalf’s prior roles include multiple positions with LexisNexis, including vice president of global operations for the company’s practice management division.
UniRush, LLC [CINCINNATI] announced that Ron Hynes has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Hynes has served in a variety of leadership roles, including as a founding board member of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association. Prior to joining UniRush, Hynes was President of Global Markets at Mozido. Previously, Hynes spent nearly 10 years at MasterCard, the last four of which he was Executive Vice President of Global Prepaid Solutions.
Bliss [NEW YORK] announced that Meri Baregamian has been appointed CEO. Ms. Baregamian joins Bliss from the Global Brands Division of Walgreens Boots Alliance and has more than 20 years of beauty industry experience. Prior to joining Walgreens Boots Alliance, Ms. Baregamian served as the CEO of North America for Soap & Glory, and has also held positions at Stila Cosmetics and Laura Mercier.
Blue Harbor Senior Living [PORTLAND, OR] has named Tana Gall as Chief Executive Officer. Tana was formerly president of two northwest based senior living management companies and most recently a founding partner of a senior living consulting company.
